BUCS COMPETITION RULES
University league fixtures are officiated under the regulations set by British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS).
Below are some key points regarding BUCS matches.
Men and Women's Premier / North
SRU will directly appoint a Team of 3 for games at this level.
Scottish Leagues - Scrum Law Variations (as applicable)
Men’s
Tier 1 – Full scrum laws
Tier 2 to 4 – U19 scrums
Women
Tier 1 – Under 19, but can opt to go full scrum laws. Agreed and signed by captain’s before the game (use team sheet)
Tier 2 and below – U19 scrums
